The Human Resources Business Partner will collaborate with senior leaders and the People Services team to drive the organization’s initiatives and strategic objectives. Primary responsibilities focus on Employee Advocacy, Talent, Organizational Effectiveness, and Leadership Effectiveness.

 

This is a regional position that supports our sites in the Northeast region with an estimated 30%+ travel requirement. 

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

  • Partners with HR functional teams including Talent Acquisition, Leadership and Development, Talent Management and HR Operations to efficiently implement, administer and deliver region-wide Human Resource programs, processes, projects and change management objectives.
  • Performs a variety of complex, professional level tasks in multiple functional areas of HR, including benefits, compensation, professional development, and employee relations.
  • Provides performance management guidance to line management for coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide support to business leaders during employee performance/appraisal cycle.
  • Partners closely with management to ensure the consistent and fair resolution of employee relations issues as well as all other programs, training, compensation, resources and benefits are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Act as point-of-contact and advisor on compensation actions, including individual promotions, equity adjustments and related actions.
  • Thoroughly investigates and documents employee concerns, employee relations and performance management issues utilizing a consistent set of tools and methodologies set forth by HR, and advise department people leaders on appropriate corrective actions.
  • Educates employees on HR policies and provides employee counseling on such policies as necessary.
  • Conducts exit interviews.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of presentations for managers and employees on a variety of HR related topics.
  • Facilitates group activities to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensures employees feel connected to the organization.
  • Supports company initiatives and regional Human Resources strategy.
  • Supports mission and values in ways that support business objectives.
  • Ensures programs support and promote the QTS culture.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related business discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of related human resources management experience

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR)
  • Experience working with labor relations and unions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Team-oriented, driven and energetic professional who enjoys building and growing capabilities within the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to make effective presentations to small and large groups of employees, management of the business organization supported, and management of higher organizational levels in their business unit.
  • Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations and practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding Human Resources, including knowledge of Federal and State HR related laws.
