The Enterprise Systems Architect is responsible for architecture, design, development, planning, implementation, maintenance and management of QTS’s virtual and physical IT architecture models and their lower level components. Primary responsibilities include: managing the technical roadmap for Software, Tools, and Applications for the Cloud, Systems, and Virtual platforms for the QTS cloud and managed hosting solutions; evaluation and recommendation of Software, Tools, and Applications used to monitor and manage cloud/networking systems and technologies; optimization of configuration, deployment and support of geographically distributed infrastructures; contributing to and leading the architecture and design for large customer solutions; investigation and resolution of escalated client support incidents. Members of the QTS team are highly engaged with a focus on delivering services within agreed upon scope and schedule and ensuring client satisfaction upon engagement startup. Demonstrated commitment to growth, service provider certifications and continued technical development is expected, including behavior and actions that exemplify the QTS Customer Creed.
The ideal candidate has an extensive technology background and large-scale global project deployment experience in Software Development, various Programming Languages and Tools, Network Management, Data Center architectures, Software Defined Architectures, Cloud and Virtualization as well as underlying service management and operational support experience for Cloud and Network Systems Management. There will be significant interfacing required with customers and potential customers on the QTS differentiators for Cloud Infrastructure Services, so excellent communications and presentation skills are essential. In addition, this positions will be a technical lead for senior cloud monitoring and systems engineers indirectly, across multiple technologies, including servers, server load balancers, switches, storage arrays, virtual switches and routers with a strong focus on virtualization, compute, and storage.
