SUMMARY

 

The Director of Enterprise Sales is responsible for identifying and generating sales of QTS solutions within an assigned geographic region. This position requires a highly motivated and energetic individual who possesses the ability to achieve assigned goals and generate new business. The successful candidate must demonstrate experience selling data center outsourcing, co-location and managed services to CIO/IT Director/VP level customers and prospects.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

  • Sell QTS’s C1-Custom Data Center and CFM-Critical Facilities Management solutions
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams such as sales engineering to drive new business
  • Develop sales strategy that ensures over-achievement of assigned goals
  • Generate new business by leveraging existing relationships, cold calling and following up on leads
  • Present client with a final proposal that addresses business requirements, overcomes objections and enables QTS to win business with maximum revenue and margin
  • Serve as liaison between the client and internal teams to provide outstanding level of service
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts to management
  • Ensure opportunity management information is kept up to date in Salesforce

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA Required or equivalent experience
  • Seven or more years of direct sales experience within the data center / colocation industry
  • Must have strategic prospecting, target account selling experience
  • Must have complex, large services deal experience
  • Proven track record of independently developing new business opportunity areas demonstrated by ten or more years of ‘hunting’ and prospecting sales experience.
  • Two or more years of vertical experience in the managed services business

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Strong working knowledge of the industry including terminology, trading styles, technologies and overall general knowledge

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent sales abilities and client-facing skills
  • Ability to leverage personal network to grow the business.
  • Must be very driven and able to work and drive the business volumes required
  • Demonstrated people management skills and problem resolution skills
  • Good administrative and time management skills
  • Financially Savvy
