As the Field Marketing Specialist, this role will be responsible to formulate and execute the overall growth strategies and plans to build the pipeline of sales opportunities for the Dallas market.  Working closely and reporting to the sales leader in the region, this position will leverage all channel & partner resources, corporate marketing, direct sales, local operations team and other internal and external sources available to identify and create new selling opportunities and sales pipeline.


This position identifies multiple strategies to drive acute market penetration and maximize measurable results in both demand capture and demand creation. This role is part of an innovative and exciting team at the forefront of driving QTS’s go-to-market strategy in new and emerging markets. This role requires proven success in marketing, channel & partner development, events, business strategy and technology with the ability to deliver incremental sales pipeline and qualified sales opportunities to drive sales results. 

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

  • Working with the local sales leader and regional channel manager drive local partner and channel relationships, education, events, and increase overall QTS participation and awareness
  • Working with the local sales leader and corporate marketing drive QTS brand awareness through developing and executing a field sales GTM marketing plan, determine marketing mix and budget, ways to drive company brand awareness through activities, channel & partner promotions, and events
  • Drive demand generation programs and develop additional lead nurturing activities to achieve lead goals with a balance of demand creation and demand capture sales opportunities.
  • Ensure the market’s marketing needs are effectively communicated to the corporate marketing organization
  • Provide input to identifying in-market customer targets by vertical, drive sales plays, advise on how to customize/build playbooks and measure progress against targets
  • Assist the local sales leader in managing local lead funnel by assessing lead quality through quantifiable program metrics/KPIs, engaging with sales team, guiding and accelerating lead movement thru the funnel, and drive sales SLA for leads and follow-up
  • Support and enhance regional data center marketing: launches, collateral and digital assets based on product marketing guidelines, global inbound/outbound marketing and sales enablement activities
  • Key touch points: Regional Sales Director, Sales Team, Channel Managers/Corporate Marketing, PR manager, web/digital marketing team, content managers, and marketing operations
  • Success Metrics: MRR & TCV Pipeline contribution from marketing-generated leads; MQLs generated for in-region customers; MQL-SQL-Closed Won conversion rate; program delivery KPIs, sales activities/participation in programs and utilization of tools, PR metrics, upsell/xsell metrics


  • BA or BS, marketing focus preferred
  • Three or more years of marketing experience in a sales support capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in working with partners driving pipeline and revenue




  • IT or network marketing experience preferred





  • Possesses an expert understanding of how to drive business and marketing through the sales channel and develop in-market marketing and events to grow brand awareness, sales opportunities and sales pipeline and ultimately market share
  • Excels at cross-group collaboration
  • Strong project management skills, creative thinking and analytical ability
  • Proven success developing business, marketing planning/analysis, opportunity identification and optimizing Return on Investment
  • Motivated self-starter who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with: Excel, PPT, marketing automation tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
