The Compensation Analyst implements and manages compensation programs and processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.  This new position is instrumental in shaping the future of compensation and incentive plans to ensure external competitiveness and internal parity across the entire nationwide QTS footprint.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

  • Facilitates consistent application and communication of the company's pay philosophy, job evaluation tools (including banding and leveling) and all Compensation processes across the business
  • Provides company compensation data for various compensation surveys and analyze compensation survey data results to determine competitiveness of company’s compensation program.
  • Assists with evaluating positions (newly created, transfers, promotions, etc.) to determine salary ranges, appropriate job classification, title, and grade
  • Reviews incentive calculations for accuracy and approves for payment
  • Evaluates existing compensation programs through research and analysis and recommend improvements
  • Assists in facilitating the annual compensation planning and incentive processes
  • Responds to questions regarding compensation programs and policies
  • Assists with administration and design of compensation programs such as merit, promotion etc.
  • Conducts periodic audits to review and confirm compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and reasonableness of pay practices
  • Evaluates, analyzes, audits and maintains compensation and job related data within the company Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Seven or more years of related experience managing company-wide compensation plans
  • Strong MS Excel skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • One or more years of experience designing or administering sales compensation and commissions plans

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to present data in an understandable format
  • Outstanding customer service and ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong enthusiasm, drive, and a desire to learn
  • Proactive team member with excellent follow through
  • Outstanding attention to detail, high level of accuracy in written work and reports and the ability to exercise good judgment
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently as well as a member of a team
