The Data Center Site Director -Ashburn/Dulles, VA will be charged with providing the leadership, tactical execution and business acumen necessary to support the diverse site needs. The Site Director is responsible for coordinating, synthesizing, and integrating all aspects of corporate real estate management, financial analysis, and maintenance of all natures; maintenance contracting for service to critical equipment, master planning for the facility’s data center floor and new construction. The Site Director has responsibility for local Management teams within the facility which oversees maintenance, physical security, data center operations and business continuity/disaster recovery procedures for the property.
This is a leadership role for Data Center Facilities. Current leadership experience with scope of Electrical, Mechanical systems and DCO is highly preferred.
This leader will have P&L responsibility and accountability for their assigned site(s) as well as own and implement the strategy and associated programs necessary to improve the P&L. They must have a strong command of every program and item contributing to profits or expenses. They will be responsible for communicating to the site team the status and outlook for the P&L and ensuring alignment of site team organization necessary to achieve P&L goals. The leader is expected to source new ideas from site team organization and to leverage external parties, suppliers, advisers or consultants to improve profitability.
The successful candidate must have strategic agility and good decision-making skills. They should also possess the ability to build and lead teams and to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The role requires keen planning skills along with the ability to lead through influence and to be a proactive partner with a strong customer-service orientation. This leader should be able to solve problems at a tactical and functional level, have excellent oral and written communication skills, a solid work ethic and unquestioned integrity.
