    SUMMARY

     

    The Strategic Programs Operations Manager is responsible for the successful job execution of all QTS secure customers. The successful candidate will manage secure customer deployments beginning with contract signing and will transition to operational manager as the space becomes activated. Additionally, the Operations Manager will serve as primary point-of-contact for the customer’s ground level operations team and will interface with QTS operational personnel to ensure all customer needs are met. The Operations Manager must proactively identify customer pain points and then focus QTS resources on driving solutions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

    • Act as primary point-of-contact for customer operations personnel and interface with them regularly within their secure environment
    • Provide rapid solutions to customer issues and ensure issues are being actively tracked and managed
    • Proactively identify needs and potential issues facing the customer and drive for solutions
    • Proactively identify and task the appropriate company resources for issue resolution
    • Manage secure customer move-ins from contract signing to space activation
    • Coordinate between sales, facilities, security, development and other QTS personnel to ensure all move-in milestones are met on time or ahead of schedule
    • Aid in developing operational procedures for successful secure customer management
    • Provide regular reporting to customer and QTS leadership
    • Quickly inform QTS leadership when customer issues arise
    • Coordinate and arrange for cleared escorts
    • Recognize opportunities and/or risks for future customer growth

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Active TS/SCI Clearance
    • United States Citizenship
    • Five or more years’ experience in project management

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • One or more years of experience working in a data center environment
    • Must reside near Ashburn, Virginia

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

     

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
    • Ability to track multiple outstanding items in order to meet tight deadlines
    • Ability to interface directly with customers and to work well with diverse teams
