    The marketing team is looking for an Event Marketing Specialist to join the team as we support a rapidly growing business. One of the team’s primary objectives is contributing to our organizations sales targets. The Event Marketing Specialist role will support this effort through executing on an event program (to include company hosted events, sponsorships at partner and industry events and membership with local organizations and associations). Responsibilities will include identifying and securing event and sponsorship opportunities within each local market, coordination of event logistics, collateral, signage and giveaways, budget management, communication management among internal stakeholders on activity planning and follow up. The Event Marketing Specialist may also assist in the execution of promotion efforts that support event activities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

    • Coordinate events, trade shows, event sponsorships and local association memberships for each sales team (NEMA, Southeast, Midwest, West, Hyperscale and Federal)
    • Proactively engage with sales, product marketing and partner team to identify opportunities, needs, event objectives/goals, target audiences, topics, partner participation
    • Plan and coordinate set-up, logistics and food and beverage in partnership with site hosts for events hosted at QTS facilities
    • Identify and coordinate creation of collateral, giveaways and signage at events
    • Create and maintain budget spending for events, associations and local sponsorships
    • Communicate with QTS vendors to secure sponsorship dollars for QTS hosted events
    • Support the sales teams’ effort to promote events through contact list development and creation of email invites and social media content
    • Support the demand generation team with coordination of promotion activities that support events (emails, social media, adveritsing, etc.)
    • Conduct pre- and post event evaluations and report on outcomes
    • Manage the events section of the company website to be sure all prospect/client facing events are posted and regularly updated
    • Coordination of the company’s annual Sales Kick Off meeting
    • Travel as necessary to attend major QTS hosted events and tradeshows (approximately 5 – 25%)


    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Three to five years experience in event planning and coordination
    • Cross-functional project management skills



    • Experience with Salesforce
    • Experience with a marketing automation platform (especially Pardot)
    • Experience with a content management system (especially Sitecore)
    • Related market/industry experience
