    The Security Operations Manager II will be responsible for providing a visual security presence to ensure visitors, clients, and employees have a safe and pleasant experience while inside the Facility.  Deter and detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal behavior.  This position will work day hours Monday - Friday.

    RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

    • Frontline supervision of security staff and daily security operations
    • Oversight of contract security schedules, payroll, customer and employee relations
    • Reports directly to the Site Director
    • Ensures all security systems are fully functional to include Access Control, Visitor Management, Service Now, CCTV.
    • Creates, assigns and issues facility access badges to authorized personnel
    • Responds to all emergencies, such as medical, fire, intrusions, and other threats
    • Knowledge and familiarization with all emergency response plans and evacuation procedures, which includes conducting fire evacuation drills
    • Ensure that all security equipment is kept in excellent working condition through regular inspection and by following QTS preventative maintenance programs
    • Ensure that all inventories are received in correct unit count and condition and security patrols are performed in accordance with QTS policies and procedures
    • Conducts regular training for security staff
    • Conduct security briefings for contractor and sub-contractor construction personnel
    • Develop and maintain working relationships with Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement as well as Fire and EMS
    • Perform security officer duties as needed to ensure efficient operations and guest service standards are met
    • Provides reports as needed for internal and external audits
    • Programming of cameras for install, trained by Will
    • Provides monthly reports, including customer reports, OPS Leadership reports, cap labor reports, badge charge reports
    • Maintains Key Watcher System, adds new customers, checks inventory, troubleshoots issues
    • Updates customers space/ location & key inventory logs
    • Works closely with OSC to resolve ticketing issues, daily communication (On Site Advisor)
    • Weekly Iris, Bio Backups on systems
    • Review of all EOS Reports and Labor Tracking reports
    • Provisioning/ De-Provisioning of new officers
    • Train, manage and support contract guard service to ensure great customer service in all Security interactions
    • Ensure contract guard service models QTS culture and lives QTS customer creed

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree
    • Five or more years of related experience in Physical Security Management

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Three or more years of experience with Data Center security
    • Two or more years of experience with security systems like Lenel or Honeywell (Prowatch)
    • Two or more years of experience managing direct security personnel or security contractors

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Proficient with computer skills
    • Proficient in Access Control Systems and related software
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, for the purpose of customer interaction and report writing
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to handle typical emergency and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
    • Ability to walk, stand or sit for at least 8 hours.
    • Position may involve frequent typing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and lifting. Lifting requirements may range from <10 lbs. – 50 lbs. on a regular basis with heavier weights done in conjunction with other individuals or lifting aids
    • May require 24x7x365 on call responsibilities
